Job Details

Responsibilities:

Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts according to specified blueprints and designs.

Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and consistency, identifying and troubleshooting any issues that arise.

Perform regular maintenance on machines, tools, and equipment to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and longevity.

Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to understand product specifications and adjust machining strategies accordingly.

Use precision tools, machinery, and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, grinder, and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.

Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe and clean work environment.

Continually improve processes for increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Machinist/Programmer in a manufacturing environment.

Proficient in programming and operating CNC mills and lathes.

Extensive knowledge of machine operation and maintenance.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent understanding of the properties and handling of metals and other materials.

Proficient in using precision tools, machinery, and equipment.

Strong mathematical skills, particularly in geometry and trigonometry.

A commitment to quality, safety, and productivity.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work for extended periods.

A valid machinist certification will be a plus.
