Cyber Security Analyst

Job Description

The Cyber Security Analyst will partner with the Manager of Cybersecurity and the Information Security Officer to reduce risk, respond to incidents and improve the security posture of the Credit Union. The selected candidate will optimize security solutions while identifying new security tools and solutions to minimize risk. Responsible for deployments and operations of information security systems, including integration, testing, troubleshooting, updating, and upgrading of security tools (EDR, IPS, malware detection tools, DLP, SOC, SEG, Web Filtering, VM, and CASB)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Determine security violations and inefficiencies by reviewing and analyzing the collected data to ensure all potential threats are mitigated.

Work with internal and external auditors to ensure controls are in compliance.

Perform assessments, document the results, and ensure mitigating actions are properly executed.

Assess the current situation, evaluating trends and anticipating security requirements.

Responsible for all aspects of Network and Data security for Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability

Analyze, design, and recommend security requirements for all systems and networks.

Must be able to configure, support and maintain security tools and devices such as SIEM, EDR software, patches, and upgrades.

Work with Infrastructure team to develop and identify access management processes and control structures for the organization.

Ensure Security best practices are implemented for Azure and Office 365 infrastructure.

Analyze and Identify system and network abnormalities by conducting security audits and respond accordingly.

Contribute to the development and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

Create security awareness training materials for employees.

Respond immediately to security incidents and provide post-incident analysis.

Work with stakeholders and develop a comprehensive plan for ongoing network and data protection.

Work closely with Compliance department to ensure IT policies and procedures align with standards such as, NIST and CIS.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree, 5 plus years of related experience required.

Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, GSEC, CEH or desired.

Experience and/or knowledge of the full Security Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC)
