Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Manager/(Associate)Director to oversee and guide our design team in creating cutting-edge and visually stunning products/services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing design projects from concept to completion, leading and inspiring a team of designers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

Provide strategic leadership to the design team, setting clear goals and objectives.

Mentor, coach, and inspire a team of designers to foster a creative and collaborative work environment.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective cross-functional communication and alignment of design goals with overall business objectives.

Project Management:

Oversee the end-to-end design process, from concept development to final product delivery.

Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring that deadlines are met and projects are delivered on scheduleConduct regular project reviews to evaluate design quality, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes.

Design Strategy:

Lead user research.

Design thinking.

Implement a design system.

Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement a cohesive design strategy that aligns with the company's overall vision.

Stay abreast of industry trends, design technologies, and best practices to ensure the design team remains innovative and competitive.

Product Sense

User-Centered Design: Prioritize user needs and behaviors in design decisions.

Market Awareness: Understand industry trends, standards, and competitors.

Problem Solving: Identify and address design challenges strategically.

Communication Skills: Clearly convey design decisions to diverse stakeholders.

Data-Driven Design: Utilize data and analytics for informed design choices.

Quality Assurance:

Establish and enforce standardized design process, design system, and guidelines to maintain high-quality output.

Conduct regular quality assessments and implement improvements to enhance the overall design process.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Work closely with stakeholders, including product managers, marketing teams, and senior executives, to understand project requirements and deliver design solutions that meet business objectives.

Present design concepts and strategies to internal and external stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design decisions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

8 years of related work experience, proven experience (3+ years) in a senior design management role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.

Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

In-depth knowledge of design principles, trends, and technologies.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.Benefits:
