POSITION: Technical Business Systems Analyst, Oracle EBS

This global company, based in Reston, VA, offers a hybrid work model. Person is required to be in the office two days per week and must reside within a reasonable commuting distance at time of joining.

IMPACT

The Technical Business Systems Analyst, with strong hands-on Oracle EBS experience in the Financials space, will provide functional and technical support to internal business customers. This person will also capture functional requirements and use them to produce detailed functional specifications, test strategies, project plans and provide implementation and post-production support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide industry best practices in the design and configuration of new processes in Oracle R12 EBS application for Financials - RTR, PTP, OTC tracks and other key processes and areas based on prior experience

Perform fit-gap analysis and develop solutions with business process improvement recommendations

Write high quality functional specifications and key design decision documents for all projects undertaken

Participate in and contribute to all phases of systems development; including requirements, design, development, client training, data conversion, testing and maintenance to achieve the successful development and implementation of the customer's business systems

Create plans and manage both small and large project initiatives to assure goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframe

Track and communicate progress toward company and departmental goals and initiatives and ensure team responsibilities are communicated

Leverage deep understanding of business and technology and collaborate with other groups to ensure that the end-to-end solution delivered to the customer exceeds expectations

Drive the upgrades and patching of Oracle, cloud, web or mobile applications in the organization

Work with business users to resolve customer problems with software applications using trouble shooting skills and functional expertise

Ensure all supported solutions are kept updated on the Information Security standards as well as adhere to SOX compliance

Develop test strategy and author test plans as required for application releases, enhancements and patches

Leverage prior test automation experience to design automated testing where feasible

Drive automation and innovation where possible to streamline internal or external business processes

Create high quality presentations to put forth challenges and potential solutions to bring about quick resolutions

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

7 + years of experience with implementing and supporting ERP (Oracle EBS), web applications, services and interfaces across the financials functional area

Strong EBS Technical (techno-functional or developer) background and the ability to function as an analyst working on configurations, implementations, etc.

Ability to capture functional requirements and use them to produce detailed functional specifications, test strategies, project plans and provide implementation and post-production support.

Responsive to customer needs and highly motivated to improve the skills and capabilities of the organization

Comfortable working in a complex integrated systems landscape

Working experience of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) processes and controls is preferred, especially in a high-tech environment

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology or related field

Local to the Reston, VA area (reside within a reasonable commute) preferred. Will consider those willing to relocate upon hire.

US Citizen / Green Card holder preferred. Will consider H-1B visa holder with an approved I-140.
