INTRODUCTION

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an MSE, you will work as an integral part of our engineering team – composed of other MSEs, software engineers, and systems architects – to help deliver a powerful, highly-innovative product.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

Architect and implement efficient simulation engines capable of capturing the complex subsystem interdependencies that exist in current space hardware

Research and implement cutting-edge parallel and distributed simulation technologies to deliver a responsive, cloud-native spacecraft digital twins

Build powerful, highly-interoperable yet intuitive clients that can be used by engineers throughout the space industry

Identify areas of improvement throughout the service and implement high-impact enhancements

Contribute back to open-source projects

LOCATION

Our offices are located in the Ballston-Rosslyn urban corridor in Arlington, Virginia – just over the Potomac River from Georgetown and in close proximity to great Northern Virginia and Washington, DC neighborhoods for both young professionals and families. We are just a few blocks from the Washington and Old-Dominion Trail, I-66, and the Ballston Metro Station (on the Orange and Silver Lines), providing easy access for commuting by car, bike, or public transit. Our neighborhood includes some of the nation’s top research agencies like DARPA and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, but also offers great restaurants, bars, apartments, and activities.
