To prepare and load glass onto the coating machine as well as prepare and unload glass off of the coating machine in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with established production schedules and quality standards.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Inspects area equipment to ensure safe operations.
Reads and reviews area paperwork to verify production requirements.
Adjusts the washers to the proper settings based on the glass thickness.
Verifies the glass is staged properly for optimum loading performance.
Loads glass onto the coating machine in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with documented procedures.
Inspects glass on both the load end and the unload end to ensure production and quality requirements have been met in accordance with documented procedures.
Unloads glass off of the coating machine in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with documented procedures.
Prepares carriers for glass being unloaded from the coating machine for transfer to the next department.
Prepares and packs boxes in accordance to packaging manual.
Operate a forklift and tugger in a safe manner in accordance to the documented procedures.
Assists with numerous coater maintenance related tasks as qualified.
Demonstrates proper glass handling procedures in a safe and effective manner.
Maintains a clean and orderly working area.
Performs all duties in accordance with the Business Process Documentation.
High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred.
Ability to read and understand work instructions (English).
Mathematical skills as related to measurements.
Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member.
Familiar and comfortable with operating hand and power tools.
Basic keyboarding and computer skills.
Basic math skills.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to follow instructions and take supervision.
Forklift and Tugger certified.
Ability to operate a hoist and overhead crane.
Ability to safely perform essential job responsibilities; using all approved safety equipment as instructed.
Works well under pressure in an ever-changing environment.
Regular full- time attendance.
