Inventory Analyst – Semiconductor Industry - MA #5743
Location Danvers MA
Outstanding role for a team orientated Inventory Analyst in a growing privately held distribution company with multiple locations across the US and Asia. This opportunity will have direct interaction with the Senior Management Team to lead the strategic and tactical inventory/logistics needs of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop the company’s inventory management and logistics strategy to support our continued growth while maximizing working capital.
Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and processes that support inventory forecasting.
Establish and implement logistical processes that maximize customer satisfaction and minimize costs for our regional distribution and import/export needs.
Identify and partner with logistics/shipping companies to reduce costs and increase internal and external customer satisfaction.
Manage all aspects of inventory control and accuracy of inventories, including inventory processes, inventory obsolescence, and inventory returns to ensure on time delivery and reduce stock-outs.
Performs analysis of customer demand, sales forecasts, and historical material usage to develop and execute local and centralized stocking program.
Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and supply possible solutions.
Work with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy.
Monitor warehouse transfers for accuracy and cost effectiveness.
Monitor inventory returns, providing reporting and ensuring quick returns to inventory.
Assist with purchase order reviews and approvals based on usage and demand.
Coordinate outside processing responsibilities to maximize customer service at the least cost and minimal inventory levels.
Utilize MRP and inventory reporting to manage inventory levels to maintain on-time shipping metrics and improve cash flow by increasing inventory turns.
Education and Required Experience
A bachelor’s degree related to the job description preferred, but combination of experience and training will be considered.
5 years’ experience in logistics and/or inventory management.
Epicor P21 proficiency and advanced Excel skills are highly desired.
Experience with complex sales cycles for B2B transactions in the semiconductor industry and an in depth understanding of how it impacts inventory planning.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to develop analytical reports based on customer needs and effectively communicate and rationalize the results in cooperation with team members.
Knowledge of inventory management best practices including ERP/MRP systems and their use in an inventory/logistics environment.
Superior communication, organizational management, leadership, technical, and analytical skills.
Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Knowledge of associated purchasing and inventory modules within ERP systems and how to access pertinent data.
Demonstrated ability and desire to grow in the organization to the next level.
