Responsible for all US GAAP & IFRS reporting requirements as it relates to revenue recognition, lease, consolidations, mergers/acquisitions, joint ventures, etc. Responsible for driving accountability by managing the budgeting, forecasting and ongoing results analysis processes for functional areas and corresponding allocation of costs. Play the lead role in collaborating with department leads and accounting group colleagues to ensure accurate analysis which drives achievement of financial targets. Manage regulatory & compliance reviews. Responsible for consolidation financial closing process. Report to management in the US and Japan regarding financial results and management issues/ risks. Coordination and management of consolidated business plan/strategy. Coordinate to develop consolidated business plan, monitor company-wide progress and management strategy proactively. Develop monthly forecasts in coordination with department leads. Ensrue bsuienss plans and forecasts are accurate. Management of timely consolidation financial closing with corresponding department heads and ensure proper reporting. Establish proper schedule for reporting from each division. Lead key financial analyses, including the comparison among actual, forecast and business plan and exchange rate impact to ensure that key business divisions are aligned with overall financial objectives, goals and metrics. Identify key strategic objectives and top-down targets for annual budget/business plan. Coordinate for any reporting requirement to be sent to company in Japan. Ensure knowledge of and full compliance with company policies, governance practices, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Ensure proper accounting treatment in terms of both US GAAP and IFRS including revenue recognition, lease, etc. Coordinate with technical accounting group in the US and Japan and KPMG to research/review IFRS regulations and internal policies/procedures. Develop policy for dividend and internal fee allocation to optimize financial resources. Coordinate designated auditors from Japan to the US. Manage training programs for Accounting/Finance staff.

REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or a related field of study AND ten (10) years of experience in CPA Firm or equivalent environment. Must be fluent in Japanese. Domestic and international travel may be required.
