Description: We are looking for a creative and innovative Web Developer/Web Designer who specializes in UI creation. You must be adept at navigating technical conversations with both team members and clients alike. It will require extensive experience with JavaScript, HTML markup, and CSS/SCSS styling. You will be involved with the front-end application development and design teams (re-usable code) while working hand-in-hand with the business stakeholders to integrate functionality and visual presentation into everything you create. It is expected that you are able to unit test all of your work while adhering to current industry protocols and standards. You must be able to articulate complex technological concepts to fellow engineers and translate for non-engineers and it is required that you have an understanding of Agile workflow and are an expert collaborator.

Qualifications:

5+ years of front end web development experience

Working with internal and third party RESTful APIs

Expertise in writing and testing valid, web standards-based HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery

Graphical sense of design, ability to take sketches and turn them into working UI

MVC frameworks

Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Coding Patterns is heavily desired

Strong verbal and written communication skills are preferred

Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

E-commerce experience is a plus

Experience working on enterprise projects is highly desired

Understanding of Agile iterative processes is highly preferred

Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, you are able to pivot between work streams; you can focus on one project for an extended duration or contribute to multiple projects simultaneously

You’re passionate about developing your craft as an engineer. This means following industry-accepted standards, specifications and best practices, and contribute to or follow open source projects

You love learning new technologies, but are discerning enough to know which aren’t production-ready
