Description:

eNGINE builds Technical Teams. We are a Solutions and Placement firm shaped by decades of interaction with technical professionals. Our inspiration is continuous learning and engagement with the markets we serve, the talent we represent, and the teams we build.

We are hiring a Windows Server Patching Administrator to support a large-scale server patching program within a major financial institution. This role is focused primarily on installing Windows server patches through SCCM and resolving issues when patches do not install successfully. The environment includes SQL, application, and web servers across multiple areas of the organization. The work is structured and execution-heavy, making it a strong fit for a server-level Technician or Administrator who is comfortable following established processes and troubleshooting when needed.

Patching is frequently completed during evenings, nights, and weekends when systems can be taken offline. Off-hours work may be performed remotely and provides a good opportunity for overtime.

Responsibilities:

Install and manage Windows server patches using SCCM

Troubleshoot and remediate unsuccessful or incomplete patch installations

Support patching across SQL, application, and web server environments

Work with command-line tools, file permissions, and Active Directory

Complete required change-management documentation and reporting

Follow established banking, compliance, and patching procedures

Participate in scheduled evening, overnight, and weekend maintenance windows

Assist with vulnerability-remediation activities as the role expands

Qualifications:

Hands-on experience patching Windows servers through SCCM

Background as a Windows Server Technician, Administrator, or Engineer

Working knowledge of Active Directory, file permissions, and command-line interfaces

Ability to diagnose and correct common server patching failures

Willingness to work onsite and support nontraditional maintenance hours

Strong attention to detail and comfort working within documented processes

Experience with vulnerability management or remediation is a plus

Experience in a regulated or financial-services environment is helpful but not required

*No C2C, 3rd Party, or Referral candidates will be considered!
