PRN Echo Technologist (Cardiac Sonographer)

We are seeking a PRN Echo Technologist to perform high quality cardiac ultrasound exams and support our cardiology team with accurate, timely diagnostic imaging. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys flexible scheduling and working in a fast paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

Perform echocardiographic studies including 2 D imaging, M mode, and Doppler techniques.

Assist with Stress Echo, Dobutamine, and TEE procedures as needed.

Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning throughout exams.

Document preliminary reports and patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Verify patient identity, orders, and consents before procedures.

Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare teams regarding patient status and imaging results.

Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment and ensure all supplies are organized and ready for use.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in echocardiography or cardiac sonography.

Proficiency in 2 D, M mode, and Doppler imaging.

Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.

Ability to operate ultrasound equipment safely and follow infection control protocols.

Experience assisting with TEE and stress echo procedures preferred.

Registry eligible or credentialed (RDCS, RCS, or RDMS FE) based on accredited program completion or equivalent pathways.
