Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float Pool RN – Ohio

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Weekend shifts assigned according to staffing needs. Float pool assignment with potential rotation to affiliated facilities within close proximity (approximately 5-6 minute walk).

Highlights:

Progressive Care Unit/Step-down patient population with 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts

EPIC charting system utilized facility-wide

Comprehensive orientation provided (36 hours)

Float pool role supporting multiple units within the organization

Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more

First-time travelers welcome to apply (candidates with only 1 year of experience subject to manager review)

Requirements:

Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale

EPIC EMR experience required

Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring

Skills in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central/peripheral line care, blood product administration, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and vasoactive/cardiac drip management

Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leadership role
