Full Time Barber/Hairdresser

Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

38 hours full-time role

Business opening hours:

Monday–Friday: 9:00 am–6:00 pm

Saturday: 9:00 am–5:30 pm

Sunday: [closed]

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including precision hair cutting, fades, tapers, beard trimming, shaving, and styling using scissors, clippers, and razors.

• Conduct client consultations to recommend suitable hairstyles, grooming techniques, and hair care products based on individual preferences and hair/scalp condition.

• Shampoo, condition, and treat hair and scalp where required.

• Perform beard shaping, hot towel shaves, and grooming services in line with premium barbershop standards.

• Maintain high-quality finishing and styling standards across all services.

• Ensure strict hygiene and sanitation practices, including cleaning workstations and sterilising tools and equipment.

• Manage appointments, client rebooking, and service records.

• Promote and recommend retail grooming products to clients.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and customer satisfaction.

• Stay updated with current barbering techniques, trends, and grooming styles.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and service delivery.

Qualification and Experience

• 1-2 years’ experience as a Barber or Hairdresser in a professional barbershop/salon environment.

• Relevant qualification in Hairdressing/Barbering (Certificate III or higher) highly regarded.

• Demonstrated skills in:

o Men’s haircuts, fades, tapers, and styling.

o Beard trimming and shaving techniques.

o Use of scissors, clippers, and razors.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

• Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and workplace health and safety standards.

• Availability to work weekends (including Friday-Saturday) as required in similar business operations.

• Valid Australian work rights.
