$30 USD per hour TMD

Company: Thomas-McGee Development Inc. (TMD)

Work location: Remote, with travel throughout TMD's Southern California markets as needed

Eligible hiring location: Southern California residents only. Inland Empire, Los Angeles or San Diego preferred.

Schedule: Part time, during agreed Pacific Time business hours

Weekly hours: Flexible; to be determined by mutual agreement.

Employment classification: Independent contractor.

Pay: $30 USD per hour. Hourly compensation only, with no commission or percentage of total project value.

TMD is a Southern California general contracting and development company serving homeowners and property owners. We are hiring an experienced appointment setter to connect prospective clients with our team for home additions, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), and substantial remodeling projects.

We value clear communication, accurate information, and consistent follow through. Your role is to understand the prospective client's needs, capture useful project details, and schedule a productive conversation with TMD.

What you will do

1. Make outbound calls using TMD approved contact lists and follow up with existing inquiries.

2. Introduce TMD clearly, use approved scripts, and determine whether the property owner wants to discuss a project.

3. Record the project address, general scope, anticipated timing, stated budget, decision makers, and preferred contact information.

4. Schedule and confirm appointments with TMD, then follow up on missed appointments and requested callbacks.

5. Keep Monday.com records current, including lead source, call outcome, appointment status, and next action.

6. Provide a concise activity report covering conversations, qualified appointments, appointments attended, and follow ups.

7. Honor contact preferences and opt out requests. Refer pricing, technical scope, financing, and contract questions to TMD's designated team.

What we are looking for

1. At least one year of successful outbound calling or appointment setting experience.

2. Experience with U.S. home improvement, construction, real estate, or a related service business.

3. Clear spoken and written English, strong listening skills, and a professional phone presence.

4. Confidence handling questions respectfully and recognizing when a prospect is not a fit.

5. Consistent CRM documentation and reliable follow through. Monday.com experience is a plus.

6. A reliable computer, internet connection, headset, and quiet workspace.

7. Availability for agreed calling hours in Pacific Time.

8. Residence in Southern California and willingness to travel throughout TMD's Southern California markets as needed. Inland Empire, Los Angeles or San Diego residents are preferred.

How success is measured

We track qualified appointments that take place, accurate project information, completed follow ups, and professional communication. TMD's designated team handles project evaluation, technical scope, proposals, pricing, financing, and contracts.

Compensation and schedule

The rate is $30 USD per hour for hours worked, including required training and administrative time. There is no commission and no percentage of project revenue. Weekly hours are flexible and will be determined by mutual agreement. Work takes place during agreed Pacific Time business hours, with travel to TMD's Southern California markets as needed.
