CARPENTER

• Repairs broken items and constructs/builds new equipment and fixtures.

• Inspects buildings and facilities to identify necessary services and maintenance repairs.

• Performs minor repairs across the facility as needed.

• Maintains doors, windows, furniture, and other plant items.

• Monitors and replaces weather stripping to ensure proper insulation.

• Maintains building interiors and exteriors to keep the facility in optimal condition.

• Builds required items, including specialty furniture.

• Builds stairs and other structural items.

• Builds other items as required by production or facility management.

• Operates and maintains carpentry tools and related workshop equipment.

• Assists with the delivery of other related facility services.

• Handles physically demanding tasks, as heavy lifting is regularly required.

• Maintains a strong awareness of Health and Safety standards, along with a high understanding of Dignity and Diversity in the workplace.

• Practices good personal hygiene and maintains a tidy, appropriate dress sense (a mandatory company uniform will be provided).

• Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines.

• Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
