Key Responsibilities As a Physical Therapist at Valera Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include: - Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities by applying various diagnostic tests to determine muscle, nerve, and joint functionality.

- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that aim to prevent disabilities, relieve pain, and enhance muscle function.

- Overseeing the work of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring their tasks align with our established plan of care.

- Administering therapeutic exercises alongside treatments involving manual techniques such as traction and massage, tailored to each patient's needs.

- Evaluating and recommending adaptive devices to enhance client independence and advising on necessary modifications during rehabilitation.

- Keeping meticulous records of patient progress and changing conditions to adapt treatment plans and communicating updates with the interdisciplinary team and referring physicians.

- Providing education and guidance to patients and families regarding their therapy regimen and the use of physical therapy equipment.

Patient Population / Client Focus Our ideal Physical Therapist will cater to a diverse clientele, ranging from individuals recovering from surgeries to elderly patients managing chronic conditions.

Your role will feature interactions with various patient demographics, including those requiring post-operative rehabilitation, pain management, and mobility assistance.

Qualifications The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: - A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.

- A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy (DPT) and current CPR certification.

- A valid driver's license and reliable automobile insurance.

Preferred Experience While a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is required, candidates with a background in home healthcare or acute care will be given preference.
