Akamai Security Engineer

We are hiring an experienced Akamai Security Engineer with strong experience in WAF, application security, and incident response.

* Lead Akamai WAF onboarding and application migrations

* Perform WAF policy tuning and false-positive analysis

* Monitor WAF, Bot Manager, DDoS, and API Security events

* Investigate security threats, incidents, traffic issues, and application outages

* Support AI/LLM security, API security, and Akamai security capabilities

* Apply OWASP protections, bot mitigation, and DDoS controls

* Conduct security reviews, upgrades, and policy optimization

* Work with application, infrastructure, security, and Akamai teams

* Support troubleshooting, technical escalations, and remediation

* 5+ years of Akamai experience

* Akamai Kona Site Defender

* Akamai Bot Manager

* Akamai API Security

* OWASP Top 10

* Incident Response experience

AI/LLM Security, Akamai Firewall for AI, Enterprise Application Migration, and Financial Services experience.
