Logan Recruiting Co. is recruiting for a Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Technician to support construction and environmental projects throughout the Houston/The Woodlands area and other project locations as needed.

This is a hands-on field position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, traveling to project sites, solving problems, documenting work accurately, and learning technical construction and quality procedures.

Prior CQA experience is preferred but not required. We welcome candidates with transferable experience in construction materials testing (CMT), geotechnical work, construction inspection, environmental/landfill operations, civil construction, oil and gas field operations, or similar technical field environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform field observations, inspections, testing, and documentation related to construction quality assurance activities.

- Monitor construction activities for compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality requirements.

- Accurately document field conditions, testing results, observations, and daily project activities.

- Communicate with project teams regarding field conditions, construction progress, and potential quality concerns.

- Work outdoors in varying weather and field conditions for extended periods.

- Travel to project sites as required, including overnight travel when necessary.

- Learn and follow project-specific testing, inspection, documentation, and quality assurance procedures.

- Maintain safe work practices and follow applicable project safety requirements.

Qualifications

- Experience in CQA, CMT, geotechnical work, construction inspection, environmental/landfill work, civil construction, oil and gas field work, or another hands-on technical field environment is preferred.

- Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, reliability, and an interest in developing a technical field career will also be considered.

- Valid driver's license.

- Ability to maintain accurate field documentation and communicate professionally.

- Comfortable working independently and as part of a project team.

- Willingness to work outdoors and travel regularly.

- Willingness to undergo applicable background and drug screening.

Full-time position, generally based on a 40-hour workweek. Field assignments and travel requirements may affect scheduling.

Important Travel Requirements

This is an on-the-road, field-based position, not a remote or office-based role. Travel is an important part of this position and may include overnight assignments. Candidates should be comfortable working at different project locations and in outdoor environments.
