Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer – Drainage & Stormwater Management to join our team in Princeton, NJ. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drainage design and stormwater management for transportation projects, including storm sewers, culverts, stormwater management facilities, and roadside ditches.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of hydrology and hydraulic analysis, NJDEP rules and regulations, permitting processes, and industry-standard engineering software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.

Minimum 7 years of experience in drainage and stormwater management for transportation projects.

Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey or New York desired.

Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.

Strong working knowledge of:

TR-55

HydroCAD

HEC-RAS

Experience with AASHTO and NJDOT Specifications and Plans.

Exposure to NJTA, PANYNJ, NYSDOT, or PennDOT standards is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Perform data collection, data analysis, and hydrology/hydraulic modeling.

Design drainage systems, including storm sewers, culverts, stormwater management facilities, and roadside ditches.

Prepare accurate design drawings and construction details.

Prepare quantity calculations for drainage elements.

Develop project cost estimates.

Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering codes, standards, and best practices.

Coordinate workflow and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Support transportation projects through drainage and stormwater management design and analysis.
