On-Site, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Pay Rate: $15.50/hour

State Technical College of Missouri's Facilities Department is looking to add a new highly motivated assistant to the team. This individual will assist in actively maintaining and improving campus facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires a high school diploma. This position requires work experience in the following areas:

Knowledge of basic methods, materials, and practices used in traditional building and mechanical trades.

Familiarity with common hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.

Ability to follow technical directions, verbal instructions, and written work orders.

Ability to learn and apply skills across multiple maintenance disciplines.

Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Ability to maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, contractors, and building occupants. Job Responsibilities

To perform this position successfully, employee must be able to perform each essential function and responsibility satisfactorily. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Assist skilled maintenance personnel with repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance activities.

Receive hands-on training and develop skills in:

Electrical systems and lighting repairs

HVAC equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

Plumbing repairs and installations

Painting and surface preparation

Concrete repair and finishing

Custodial and facility cleaning functions

Welding and metal fabrication tasks

Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.

Perform routine inspections of facilities and report maintenance concerns.

Assist with moving materials, equipment, furniture, and supplies as needed.

Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

Follow work orders, maintenance schedules, and preventive maintenance programs.

Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Respond to facility maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
