Construction Superintendent
Lead the field. Own the project. Deliver the result.
RFS® is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our Construction team.
This is a role for someone who likes being where the work happens. You’ll lead projects in the field, coordinate subcontractors and resources, solve problems in real time, and take ownership of keeping projects safe, on schedule, within budget expectations, and up to RFS® quality standards.
Our Superintendents work across multiple markets and with national Clients, so this is not a traditional single-site construction role. Approximately 80%+ regional travel is required.
What You’ll Do
As the on-site leader, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day project execution from pre-construction through completion.
You’ll:
Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, labor, materials, and equipment
Drive daily execution against project schedule, scope, budget, safety, and quality expectations
Anticipate field issues and resolve problems before they impact the project
Conduct site inspections, pre-construction meetings, and inspector walkthroughs
Coordinate permitting and ensure work remains aligned with approved project requirements
Monitor subcontractor performance and help develop strong trade partner relationships
Maintain accurate project documentation and daily photo updates
Communicate progress, risks, delays, and field conditions clearly with the project team and Client
Support project profitability through disciplined management of labor, cost, and resources
Look for better ways to execute work and continuously improve our field operations
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a field leader, not simply someone to monitor a jobsite.
You should be comfortable making decisions, holding people accountable, managing competing
priorities, and taking action when something isn’t going according to plan.
You’ll be a strong fit if you have:
Construction experience with proven field leadership
Experience directing crews, subcontractors, vendors, or other field resources
Strong construction knowledge and sound decision-making skills
The ability to manage schedule, cost, quality, and safety simultaneously
Strong communication and organizational skills
Experience working directly with Clients, inspectors, and trade partners
A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to quality
Experience in restaurant construction, facilities maintenance, multisite construction, or rollout programs is a plus. Experience with project budgets, job costing, Salesforce, and distributed subcontractor networks is also valuable.
What RFS® Provides
We want our Superintendents equipped to operate effectively in the field.
Competitive compensation
Company vehicle for required work travel
Company credit card for necessary travel and approved project material expenses
Opportunity to work with national Clients across multiple markets
Exposure to a variety of construction projects and environments
Professional growth opportunities as RFS® continues to expand
A collaborative team that gives field leaders the autonomy to make decisions and take ownership
An opportunity to influence how we execute projects and improve our operation as we grow
The Reality of the Role
This is a field-based position with approximately 80%+ regional travel and regular presence on active construction sites.
Construction does not always happen between 8:00 and 5:00. Depending on the project, there may be early mornings, evenings, weekends, inspections, or situations that require you to adjust quickly.
In return, you’ll have the opportunity to own your projects, lead the people around you, work with national Clients, and see the direct impact of your decisions in the field.
If you’re a Superintendent who takes ownership, communicates well, solves problems, and knows how to keep construction moving, we’d like to meet you.
