Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week; weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays

Highlights:

Work with a specialized abdominal transplant population including kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients

Epic charting system; float required within the organization as needed

First-time travelers welcome; minimum 1 year of PCU/stepdown experience required

Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and social services

Care for adult patients with complex conditions including post-transplant care, rejection monitoring, hepatology, and GI bleeds

Multiple parking options available with garage and surface lot access

Requirements:

Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 1 year of PCU/stepdown/IMC experience

Epic charting experience required

Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care, IV management, and port access

Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)

Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon contract signing

Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
