Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of clients by utilizing standardized diagnostic tools and engaging with them in meaningful dialogue to determine their mental health status.
Create individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each client's unique circumstances and needs.
Regularly meet with clients through teletherapy sessions, providing support and guidance to help them navigate their mental health challenges.
Facilitate group therapy sessions, where applicable, to foster community among clients facing similar struggles, enhancing their support networks.
Refer clients to additional healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and support groups, when necessary, ensuring a holistic approach to their mental health care.
Maintain meticulous records in the EHR system, documenting treatment plans, session notes, and client progress to promote accountability and track outcomes.
Engage in ongoing professional development activities and supervision to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in mental health counseling.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Privia Health, you will work with a diverse clientele, which includes individuals grappling with substance abuse disorders, mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, as well as specific issues like eating disorders. Your expertise and skill set should reflect a deep understanding of these varied conditions, enabling you to deliver tailored interventions that promote healing and resilience. Cultural competence will be essential as you will be working with clients from a multitude of backgrounds, respecting their unique experiences and viewpoints.
Qualifications
Required: Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey is essential.
A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience, demonstrating expertise in mental health counseling.
Solid foundation in mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and an understanding of cultural nuances in therapy.
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with clients and team members.
Preferred Experience
Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy is highly desirable.
A background in crisis intervention and demonstrated ability to support clients in challenging situations.
Familiarity with a range of therapeutic modalities and a commitment to using culturally responsive practices.
Compensation and Benefits
