Work Environment
As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at our outpatient office, you will work in a collaborative environment designed to help you thrive professionally and personally. The clinic operates from Monday to Friday, ensuring a well-structured work-life balance as you dedicate 40 hours per week to serving patients with associate staff who share your passion for care.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate patients referred by physicians and develop tailored treatment programs that adhere to their specific needs and goals.
You will implement therapeutic procedures and techniques that aim to restore function and improve quality of life, ensuring alignment with the physician's plan of care.
Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a friendly and professional atmosphere that enhances the overall patient experience.
Collaborate with a broader multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure the best patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.
Offer educational resources and training for patients and their caregivers to promote understanding and facilitate home exercises.
Meet minimum utilization and productivity goals to contribute to the financial health of the practice while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will have the opportunity to treat a diverse patient population, including individuals with orthopedic injuries, pediatric cases, neurological conditions, and sports medicine needs. By utilizing a holistic approach to therapy, you will help patients regain their strength, mobility, and functionality, assisting them through every stage of their recovery journey.
Qualifications
A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic practices.
You must possess a valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice legally and ethically in Virginia.
Two years of experience in the field is essential to ensure competence in treating various conditions and effectively engaging with patients.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association is necessary to ensure patient safety.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear interactions with patients and their families.
Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills are important for documentation and patient management.
A passion for building relationships and a commitment to positive patient engagement is crucial for creating impactful recovery experiences.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in an outpatient facility is preferred, as it provides relevant exposure to the patient demographic we serve.
