We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist to join our team at Sutter Physical Therapy Clinic in Highland Park, New Jersey. This full-time, onsite role focuses on providing exceptional rehabilitation services to patients who are recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic illnesses. The physical space is designed for optimal patient functionality, with varying treatment areas that accommodate individual therapy sessions as well as group activities. Working from Monday to Friday, you will have a well-structured schedule that supports work-life balance while allowing you to engage fully with your patients.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients by reviewing medical histories, performing comprehensive assessments, and using specific measures to determine appropriate care plans.
Engage with patients and their families to clearly explain evaluation findings and collaboratively set treatment goals based on individual needs. Document all findings and recommendations accurately.
Implement targeted treatment strategies aligned with the latest research and trends in rehabilitative healthcare, adapting protocols as necessary based on patient feedback and treatment progress.
Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses, to ensure integrated patient care and make recommendations for additional interventions if needed.
Oversee discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring that each patient's journey through the rehabilitation process is seamless and well documented, including legible progress notes and discharge summaries.
Manage time efficiently to meet productivity targets and maintain an organized caseload while upholding the highest standards of patient care and documentation.
Participate in ongoing professional development and educational opportunities to enhance personal competency, staying current with advances in physical therapy practices.
Promote patient satisfaction by fostering a welcoming and responsive environment, addressing patient concerns, and minimizing barriers to access for all individuals.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The patients we serve range from post-surgery recovery clients to individuals rehabilitating from sports injuries or chronic conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse demographic, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and those with specialized needs. This variety enhances your skill set and allows you to make a tangible impact on each patient's functional abilities and overall health outcomes.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or higher is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
A valid physical therapy license in the State of New Jersey is mandatory.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required from the American Heart Association.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are needed to effectively engage with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience
While a minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred, recent graduates with clinical rotation experiences are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
