Position Description: IB CoordinatorKey ResponsibilitiesAligned to IB Standards and Practices (2020)Standard A: Philosophy Purpose and Direction\n\nPromote and model the IB mission, philosophy, and Learner Profile across the school community (A1, A2)\n\nSupport leadership and staff in embedding international-mindedness, equity, and global contexts into teaching and learning (A3, A4)\n\nEnsure that HUMSs mission, values, and instructional vision are aligned with IB MYP philosophy (A1, A4)Standard B: Organization Leadership, Structure, and Resources\n\nServe as the primary liaison between HUMS and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) (B1)\n\nCoordinate and monitor all MYP candidacy requirements, including timelines, documentation, and IB communications (B2, B3)\n\nSupport school leadership in establishing roles, responsibilities, and systems to sustain MYP implementation (B1, B4)\n\nMaintain accurate IB documentation and support preparation for IB visits, consultations, and authorization processes (B2, B3)Standard C: Curriculum Written, Taught, and Assessed\n\nLead and support the development and refinement of MYP unit planners aligned to subject group requirements and global contexts (C1, C2)\n\nEnsure vertical and horizontal alignment of curriculum across grade levels and subject areas (C1, C3)\n\nSupport interdisciplinary learning planning and documentation (C1, C4)\n\nGuide the integration of key and related concepts, global contexts, and Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills into curriculum (C2, C3)\n\nSupport alignment between MYP curriculum, DC standards, and HUMS instructional priorities (C1, C3)Standard D: Assessment Measuring and Supporting Student Learning\n\nSupport teachers in developing MYP-aligned formative and summative assessments (D1)\n\nPromote consistent use of IB assessment criteria and task-specific clarifications (D1, D2)\n\nSupport reflective practices around assessment data to inform instruction and improve student learning (D3)\n\nEnsure assessment practices reflect IB principles of fairness, transparency, and student growth (D2, D3)Professional Learning and Capacity Building (Cross-Cutting)\n\nFacilitate ongoing professional learning related to IB philosophy, MYP framework, and instructional practices (A2, B4)\n\nCoach and support teachers in inquiry-based instruction, reflection, and implementation of MYP practices (C2, C3)\n\nSupport onboarding and continued learning for staff related to MYP expectations and documentation (B4)\n\n\n\n\n PIbc97ccc0dae8-25405-39699914
