Ware Junior Senior High School is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher. The anticipated dates of the position are January 25 - April 16, 2027.
Massachusetts Licensure for Moderate Disabilities at appropriate grade level
Collaborate and coordinate with general education teachers and related service providers
Collaborate and coordinate with paraprofessionals
Prepare and provide specially designed instruction in the general curriculum and other educational needs (i.e. social emotional, vocational preparation or experience)
Administer appropriate assessments and use assessment data to inform instructional decisions and improve student learning
Experience facilitating IEP team meetings and developing IEPs
Knowledge of inclusive practices and co-teaching strategies, transition planning, culturally responsive practices, social emotional learning and positive behavior supports
Develop and monitor IEP goals and services for students
Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect students' progress
Implement IEPs, monitor and assess student performance, document and provide evidence of student progress COMPENSATION Licensed Teacher Per the current contract at the daily rate of step 1 of highest degree attained Bachelor's - $304.56 Bachelor's+15 - $315.49 Master's - $322.79 Master's+15 - $332.03 Master's+30 - $339.42 Master's+45 - $352.19 Unlicensed, commensurate with education Bachelor's - $200/day Associate's - $150/day High School Diploma - $135/day
