Job Description

We are seeking reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Prep Cooks and Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. Employees may be scheduled for opening, mid-shift, or closing shifts and must be able to maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, organization, and safety during every shift.

Duties:

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.

Operate grills, fryers, ovens, sauté stations, and other kitchen equipment safely.

Set up and stock the assigned station before service.

Maintain proper cooking temperatures, portion sizes, and presentation.

Work efficiently during busy service periods.

Communicate clearly with kitchen staff, servers, and management.

Monitor food levels and notify the kitchen manager when supplies are needed.

Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.

Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing responsibilities.

Shift Responsibilities

Opening Shift

Set up and organize the kitchen and assigned stations.

Complete daily prep lists.

Check deliveries and food quality.

Stock ingredients and supplies.

Prepare the kitchen for service.

Mid Shift

Maintain food levels and station organization.

Assist with preparation and service.

Restock ingredients and supplies as needed.

Keep work areas clean during service.

Support the opening and closing team members.

Closing Shift

Properly store, label, and date all food.

Clean and sanitize stations, equipment, floors, and preparation areas.

Complete inventory and waste procedures.

Restock supplies for the next day.

Turn off and secure equipment as required.

Leave the kitchen clean, organized, and ready for the next shift.

Qualifications

Previous kitchen, prep cook, or line cook experience preferred but not required.

Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to approximately 50 pounds.

Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and different shift times as needed.

Food handler certification preferred or required according to local regulations.
