We have an opportunity for a Senior Cloud Data Engineer / DevSecOps Engineer with Department of Treasury in Washington, DC / Tysons, VA (SCIF Environment). This is an onsite, 12+ month contract position. Salary Negotiable.

Active TS/ SCI or Top-Secret clearance

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer / DevSecOps Engineer to support the design, development, integration, deployment, and operation of secure enterprise data and application platforms. The role will work closely with the Enterprise Data Architect, Data Governance Lead, Project Manager, developers, and mission stakeholders. The position will support the roadmap’s core needs across Data Foundation, External Integration, User Access/Analytics, AI, Cloud Services, and Platform/DevSecOps, including mission data lakes, AWS/Azure pipelines, ETL, databases, APIs, dashboards, containers, CI/CD, and secure cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AWS/Azure data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, data lakes, S3 environments, and database solutions

• Integrate internal and external data sources using Python, SQL, APIs, and reusable ingestion frameworks

• Support relational, NoSQL, and graph database capabilities, including entity resolution

• Develop backend services and REST APIs as needed

• Support Grafana, analytics, application, AI/LLM, and RAG integration

• Build and manage Docker/Kubernetes environments

• Develop CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code

• Support Linux environments, cloud security, monitoring, logging, and deployment automation

• Support secure movement of software artifacts and large datasets across environments

• Produce technical documentation, deployment procedures, and runbooks
