HR Generalist
A well-established manufacturing company in Waterbury, CT is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their team. This is a hands-on role supporting employees and managers across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee relations
Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee documentation
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for hourly and salaried positions
Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
Handle employee relations matters and help address workplace concerns
Assist with benefits administration and employee questions
Support payroll processes and ensure accurate employee information
Assist with performance management, attendance tracking, and disciplinary processes
Ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state employment regulations
Assist with HR reporting, audits, and other administrative projects
Partner with management to support employee engagement and retention initiatives
Help develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
Qualifications:
3+ years of HR Generalist or similar HR experience
Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or other fast-paced onsite environment preferred
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and employment laws
Experience with an HRIS/payroll system; ADP experience is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information professionally
Comfortable working independently and partnering with employees at all levels
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who is comfortable being visible and accessible to employees in a manufacturing environment. This person should be able to balance day-to-day HR administration with employee relations, recruiting, and compliance responsibilities.
Compensation: $65,000-75,000
