As a Locomotive Fueling Driver, you'll operate a specialized fuel truck to safely fuel locomotives.

Approximately 90–95% of the job is performed outside the truck, making this a hands-on position.

Responsibilities include:Climbing in and out of your truck or locomotive steps multiple times per shiftSafely fuel locomotives using specialized fueling equipmentStick fuel tanks and monitor fuel levelsPull hoses and operate fuel nozzlesWork safely around active rail equipmentComplete required inspections and documentationFollow all company, railroad, DOT, and safety proceduresBe prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions Locomotive Service ResponsibilitiesConduct Locomotive Daily InspectionPerform scheduled or on-demand maintenance of locomotivesInterest in being cross-trained on all functions at the facilityWillingness to follow proceduresKeep work area cleanNot afraid to ask questionsAccurately fill out all necessary paperworkEnforces safety policies and procedures with other employees.Ability to perform general maintenance on equipmentAssist with handyman duties within the facility including general maintenanceInteract with other team members, customers, railroad crews, and visitors.Understands customer’s needs.

Because rail operations run 24/7, dispatches can occur at any time during your shift.

You'll be paid for the entire 12-hour shift—including breaks, lunch, and wait time—regardless of the number of dispatches received.
