**Emergency Room RN – Nights Columbus, OH**

Maximum Healthcare Solutions is seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses for a 13-week assignment with Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Travel and local candidates are welcome.

Pay & Assignment Details**

- **Travel pay:** $2,100 total weekly package for 36 hours; stipend eligibility applies

- **Local pay:** $58/hour W-2

- **Location:** 1492 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43205

- **Start date:** November 16, 2026

- **Duration:** 13 weeks

- **Shift:** 3x12-hour nights, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM

- **Openings:** 2

- **Weekends:** Every other weekend; 8 weekend shifts per contract

- **Holidays:** Rotating coverage

- **Floating:** Required to units of equivalent or lower acuity

- **Block scheduling:** Not available

**About the Role**

Provide emergency nursing care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a Level III trauma, primary stroke, and STEMI care setting. Responsibilities include patient assessment, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, blood product administration, stroke care, and care of ventilated patients.

The unit uses Epic. Typical patient ratios are listed as 1:4 and may vary based on acuity and staffing needs.

**Required Qualifications**

- At least 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience

- Active Ohio RN license or valid compact license authorizing practice in Ohio, in hand at submission

- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications

- Epic experience

- Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program

- Experience with adult and pediatric emergency care, phlebotomy, IV insertion and maintenance, blood administration, ventilated patients, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Previous travel nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted

- NRP, PALS, and TNCC certifications

- Level I trauma experience

- Triage, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation experience

- All requested time off must be submitted with the application and included in the contract. One preapproved time-off request is listed.

- Two professional references are required. At least one must be from a manager, director, or formal supervisor; the second may be from a charge RN. Coworker references are not accepted.

- Ohio fingerprinting must be initiated immediately after signing the contract. Candidates within driving distance must complete fingerprinting in Ohio; other candidates will receive instructions for a mailed packet.

- All credentialing must be completed by the Tuesday before the start date.

- Flu vaccination is required; medical exemptions only. COVID-19 vaccination is not required.

- Current Ohio State University hospital employees are ineligible. Former employees must have been separated for at least 6 months.
