We are seeking an Assembly Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Columbus, Ohio. Our company designs and manufactures advanced biomechanical equipment and technology used by leading research institutions, healthcare organizations, athletic programs, and engineering companies around the world. This is an opportunity to work with specialized electronic and electro-mechanical products while developing hands-on skills in assembly, soldering, testing, and calibration.
Summary
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and calibrating electronic and electro-mechanical products. This position works at various production stations and performs a variety of tasks, including mechanical assembly, soldering, wiring, gluing, and product testing. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with hand tools and electronic components, can follow blueprints and wiring schematics, and pays close attention to detail and quality.

Flexible scheduling within a 7:00 AM–7:00 PM window
Regular production schedule is typically 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Responsibilities
Assemble electronic and electro-mechanical products and components
Apply two-part epoxy to glue sub-assemblies
Perform mechanical assembly using hand, powered, and pneumatic tools
Install PCBs and other electronic components into finished products
Solder wires to PCB boards
Assemble wire harnesses, cables, and electronic sub-assemblies
Perform product calibration and testing
Maintain accurate records of calibration and testing results
Read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Handle and move components weighing up to 70 lbs.; team lift required for items up to 140 lbs.
Work closely with production management to maintain quality and production schedules
Follow all safety and quality procedures
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to work with hand and power tools
Ability to maintain accurate production and testing records
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and team lift up to 140 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous electronics assembly experience
Previous soldering experience
Mechanical assembly experience
Experience working with PCBs, wiring, or electronic components
Soldering experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
