Project Manager - Houston Stormwater - RT

Houston, Texas 77250

An excellent opportunity for a Drainage Engineer to work with a team of engineering professionals in delivering innovative solutions for a variety of roadway, transit, and drainage projects.

The candidate will have experience with feasibility studies, engineering modeling and design, and construction management. Candidates must be willing to work in a proactive team environment, mentor junior team members, and assist senior team members with delivering design and operational solutions to complex transportation problems.

The selected candidate will provide drainage analysis and design services for large transit and transportation projects while systematically building a self-sustaining drainage practice with support from other office locations. Project assignments will result in a steadily increasing level of complexity and responsibility.

Project role will also include tracking of task or project budgets and progress, coordination with other task leaders and project managers, coordination with cross-discipline plan components, and client interaction. Practice development responsibilities will include branding client as a drainage and stormwater firm, identifying and positioning for drainage work, and future staff development.

The new team member must demonstrate a strong background in all aspects of drainage engineering and design. Under minimal-to-general supervision, the selected candidate must independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures. The candidate may serve as a project manager in certain projects and help train entry-level employees, and assist more senior level engineers on large, more complex projects.
