Automotive Test Technician
Location: Raymond, Ohio
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 100% onsite
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
Engagement: 1099 Independent Contractor

Echelle Resources is seeking an Automotive Test Technician to support onsite vehicle validation and testing activities in Raymond, Ohio.
This is primarily a hands on validation and testing position, not a software development position. The ideal candidate is dependable, technically curious, comfortable working with vehicles and technology, and able to follow defined testing procedures while accurately documenting results.
An advanced software engineering background is not required. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, takes ownership of their work, pays attention to detail, and sees tasks through to completion.Responsibilities
• Perform validation and testing on development and prototype vehicles
• Follow defined test procedures and execute assigned test cases
• Drive development vehicles on designated routes as required
• Reproduce reported issues and assist with basic troubleshooting
• Perform basic component swaps, software updates, flashing, and configuration when required
• Collect logs, photos, videos, and other information needed to document issues
• Clearly and accurately document test results and findings
• Enter, update, and track issues through established tracking systems
• Work with engineering and validation teams to communicate problems and test results
• Properly handle and care for development vehicles, test equipment, and components
• Adapt to changing testing priorities and daily assignments
• Maintain a professional, dependable, and engaged onsite presenceQualifications
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working with vehicles, computers, electronics, or technical equipment
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and established test procedures
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to troubleshoot problems logically
• Dependable and able to work independently while also functioning as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Automotive testing, vehicle service, electronics, diagnostics, hardware troubleshooting, or similar hands on technical experience is helpful but not required
• Experience with Android devices, ADB, CAN systems, Jira, test equipment, or embedded systems is a plus
• Four year college degree is not requiredDriving Requirements
Because vehicle testing is an important part of this role, candidates must:
• Possess a valid and unrestricted U.S. driver's license
• Be able to provide driver's license information for verification
• Have regular U.S. driving experience
• Be comfortable driving on highways and in normal traffic conditions
• Be comfortable driving in rain and varying weather conditions
• Be comfortable driving unfamiliar routes and in unfamiliar areas
• Be comfortable operating different passenger vehicles, including larger vehicles when requiredAdditional Requirements
• Must be available to work onsite in Raymond, Ohio Monday through Friday
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the assignment
• Must be able to successfully complete required background and employment screening
• Daily start and stop times may vary depending on testing requirements
