Job Description

Mancan is working with a company in Walnut Creek looking for a structural welder. This is a temp to hire opportunity. Pay is based on experience, $22-$30/hour. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 6am-4pm with overtime on Fridays as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Follow blueprints, welding symbols, drawings, and work orders

- Weld structural steel components using MIG, FCAW, SMAW, and other welding processes

- Align and position structural steel members before welding

- Set up and operate welding machines, torches, and grinders

- Inspect welds for quality, strength, appearance, and compliance with specifications

- Measure and verify dimensions using tape measures, squares, levels, and other precision measuring tools

- Grind, clean, and prepare surfaces and welds as needed

Qualifications:

- Previous structural welding or steel fabrication experience or education

- Ability to read and understand structural drawings and welding symbols

- Ability to use basic measuring and fabrication tools

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
