Structural Steel Bridge Code Welder

Imagine watching a bridge deck lift into place knowing your welds hold it together. At JGM Fabricators & Constructors in Sinking Spring, PA, our AISC Advanced Bridge Certified shop crafts components for lift bridges, rail crossings, trestles, bus terminals, main spans, and approaches—fabricated to the AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding Code. If you’re driven by precision and take pride in safe, exacting work, this is where you can make a lasting mark. Compensation, schedule, and environment

Pay: $22–$34/hour, commensurate with experience and certifications

Hours: 5:00 AM start, 10-hour shifts, 30-minute lunch

Shop: 75,000 SF facility purpose-built for bridge fabrication; growth-minded and team-driven What you’ll take on

Execute structural welds with FCAW, GMAW/MIG, SAW, and SMAW to meet code

Decipher weld symbols, WPSs, and detailed shop drawings

Perform weld prep, grinding, gouging, and final cleanup

Safely utilize overhead cranes, fixtures, and handle heavy plate assemblies

Maintain strict adherence to AISC, AWS, and OSHA standards Background you bring

Minimum 2 years of structural steel welding experience

Preference for candidates with AWS certifications (D1.1 / D1.5)

Experience in an AISC fabrication shop beneficial
