Quality Inspector

Job Description

Inspect aerospace components, parts, and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Perform first-piece, in-process, final, and visual inspections as required.

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and GD&T requirements.

Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.

Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, surface defects, damage, workmanship, and other nonconformities.

Verify materials, components, identification, and documentation for accuracy and traceability.

Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.

Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming material or production issues to the appropriate personnel.

Work closely with machinists, assemblers, engineers, and production personnel to resolve quality issues.

Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions when quality discrepancies are identified.

Follow established aerospace quality procedures, safety requirements, and company standards.

Maintain inspection equipment and ensure the work area remains clean, organized, and suitable for precision inspection.

Support continuous improvement efforts while maintaining high standards for product quality and customer requirements.
