Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist ready to contribute in a dynamic Long Term Care (LTC) and Mail Order pharmacy environment. The role involves rotating shifts, providing a diverse and engaging work schedule, with potential for conversion from contract to permanent employment after 26 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

Accepting and accurately dispensing prescription medications while ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

Monitoring patient medication adherence and usage patterns to ensure safe and appropriate use.

Maintaining confidential patient records with precision and care.

Advising patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answering inquiries to support patient understanding.

Offering additional patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.

Educating patients on the proper use of medical devices including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.

Compounding medications for internal or external use and preparing sterile solutions following stringent protocols.

Supervising pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations.

Collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals—physicians, nurses, and pharmacists—to optimize patient care.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.

Experience in Long Term Care or Mail Order pharmacy settings preferred.

Sterile Compounding experience is a strong asset.

Valid Ohio pharmacy technician license required.

Ability to work rotating shifts Monday through Friday with occasional weekend shifts as scheduled.

Schedule:

Rotating 10-hour shifts: 6:30am-4:30pm, 9am-7pm, 11am-9pm, and 1pm-11pm every third weekend.
