Job Title : Forklift Driver

Location: Columbus, OH

Position Type: Contract

Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM 3rd Shift / Graveyard, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Pay Rate: $15.10-$17.33/hr

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Forklift Driver for our overnight shift in Columbus, OH. This position requires a confident equipment operator capable of independently managing inventory movement, dock loading/unloading, and production staging.

Key Responsibilities

Operate gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane-powered forklifts and industrial lifting equipment to maneuver materials across high-traffic warehouse and production zones.

Execute inbound unloading and outbound truck loading accurately, ensuring weight distribution and cargo securement meet transportation standards.

Retrieve work-order materials, replenish active production lines, and transfer finished goods to designated racking locations.

Complete daily equipment inspections, monitor battery charging or propane tank swaps, and maintain equipment logs.

Assist in inventory cycle counting, stock consolidation, and keeping aisleways clear and hazard-free.

Qualifications & Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

1–3 years of proven forklift operation experience in a high-volume warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing facility.

Active or previous forklift certification (sit-down, stand-up, or reach truck).

Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures, inventory staging, and basic documentation accuracy.

Strong self-starter capable of working productively with minimal overnight supervision.

Ability to work night shifts consistently, endure extended periods on equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs.\nCompany Description
