Plains is seeking a Pipeline Operator to safely operate, monitor, and maintain crude oil and NGL pipeline systems and terminals. In this role, you will conduct inspections, perform routine maintenance, respond to alarms and leaks, and ensure regulatory and environmental compliance. You will operate pumps, valves, and SCADA systems, complete work orders and documentation, and support planned shutdowns and startups. Working closely with field, control center, and engineering teams, you'll help deliver safe, reliable energy while contributing to Plains' safety-first, performance-driven culture.
Responsibilities
Safely operate and monitor crude oil and NGL pipeline systems and terminal equipment
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on pumps, valves, and related assets
Monitor and respond to SCADA alarms, pressure changes, and abnormal operating conditions
Support leak detection, emergency response, and environmental protection activities
Complete work orders, logs, and regulatory documentation accurately and on time
Coordinate with control center, engineering, and field teams to plan and execute shutdowns, startups, and product movements
Apply safety policies, lockout/tagout, and industry best practices in all field activities
Ensure compliance with PHMSA, DOT, and other applicable standards and regulations
