BODEC, Inc. is an EPC contractor specializing in power infrastructure projects throughout the western United States. Our teams construct substations, switchyards, transmission and distribution systems, and electrical infrastructure for utility, heavy industrial, mining, and renewable energy clients.

We are seeking a Texas-licensed Medium Voltage Journeyman Electrician to join our field operations team based out of San Antonio.

This position is ideal for an experienced industrial electrician with hands-on experience in underground conduit systems, medium-voltage cable terminations, grounding, and exothermic welding. This is not residential or light-commercial electrical work. Our projects involve heavy industrial and power infrastructure environments where experience with medium-voltage systems is highly valued.

What You'll Do

Install underground conduit and raceway systems for power infrastructure and heavy industrial projects.

Perform conduit layout, installation, and routing using rigid, EMT, and PVC conduit systems.

Install, pull, dress, and terminate medium-voltage power cable.

Perform medium-voltage cable terminations up to 35kV.

Install grounding and bonding systems, including exothermic welds.

Install power, control, and communication wiring.

Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot electrical equipment and control circuits.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, specifications, and control prints.

Support substation construction and other power infrastructure projects up to 345kV.

Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment in industrial and heavy industrial environments.

Coordinate with project teams, customers, and other trades to complete work safely and efficiently.

Mentor Apprentices and less experienced electrical personnel.

Follow NEC, OSHA, BODEC, and customer safety requirements.

What We're Looking For

Current Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician License in good standing.

3+ years of Journeyman-level industrial or heavy industrial electrical experience.

Hands-on experience installing underground conduit systems.

Experience performing medium-voltage cable terminations.

Experience with grounding systems and exothermic welding.

Experience with medium-voltage electrical systems and equipment.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and specifications.

Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and electrical construction safety requirements.

Experience with substations or utility power infrastructure is highly preferred.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.

Ability to travel as required for projects.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding field work.

English proficiency required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
