Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and document client cases from initial assessment through treatment completion.\n

Develop individualized and group treatment plans tailored to each client's specific issues and goals, incorporating evidence-based practices.\n

Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, adapting techniques based on client needs and therapy progress.\n

Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to enhance recovery outcomes.\n

Collaborate with external providers, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to ensure holistic care for clients, especially those recently admitted to hospitals.\n

Identify barriers to recovery, working with clients and their families to provide strategies and resources for overcoming these challenges.\n

Engage with caregivers to equip them with coping strategies and resources needed to assist their loved ones effectively.\nPatient Population / Client Focus\n

Our diverse clientele ranges from children to adults, addressing a wide spectrum of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship challenges. As a counselor at Inner Calm, you will encounter varied cases, allowing you to apply and expand your therapeutic skills while working in a culturally competent manner with clients from different backgrounds.Qualifications\n\n

A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.\n

Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW, compliant with the state laws of Washington.\n

A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).\n

Proficient knowledge and experience in individual and group counseling methodologies.\n

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clarity in client interactions and documentation.\n

A genuine disposition with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a trusting, therapeutic relationship with clients.\nPreferred Experience\n\n

Prior experience working in a community health setting is highly valued.\n

Familiarity with electronic health records, particularly AVATAR, to enhance client documentation and treatment continuity.\n

A background in managing clients with co-occurring disorders—both psychological conditions and substance use issues.\n

Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).\nCompensation and Benefits\n
