Job Description
The Sitework Project Manager is responsible for managing commercial, residential, and/or civil sitework projects from contract award through completion. This position oversees project planning, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractors, crews, materials, equipment, safety, quality control, and client communication to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to contract specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Manage sitework projects including excavation, grading, utilities, drainage, paving, concrete, erosion control, and related civil construction activities.
Review plans, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and project schedules.
Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts.
Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, and materials.
Conduct project meetings and communicate regularly with owners, general contractors, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
Track project progress, labor, equipment, materials, and production quantities.
Review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices.
Prepare and manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and project documentation.
Identify potential project delays, cost overruns, and conflicts and develop corrective actions.
Ensure work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
Coordinate with the Superintendent and field personnel to maintain efficient daily operations.
Monitor jobsite safety and support company safety policies and procedures.
Assist with estimating, bidding, project turnover, and preconstruction activities.
Maintain accurate project records and closeout documentation.
Perform regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve field issues.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
3–7+ years of construction/project management experience, preferably in sitework, excavation, utilities, grading, or civil construction.
Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and project schedules.
Experience managing budgets, costs, change orders, and subcontractors.
Ability to read and interpret civil/sitework drawings.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with construction management software is preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites as required.

Heavy civil or commercial site development
Earthwork and mass excavation
Underground utilities and stormwater systems
Fine grading and site preparation
Asphalt and concrete coordination
Survey/layout and GPS machine-control experience
Scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar
Construction management software such as Procore, HCSS, or similar
