Senior Construction Estimator

Job Description

Berry & Clay is hiring an Estimator to help prepare budget and GMP's for school construction projects across Texas. You’ll work with our preconstruction and project management teams from early budgets through bidding and GMP development.

Responsibilities

Prepare conceptual budgets and detailed estimates from drawings and specifications.

Perform quantity takeoffs and develop scopes of work for bid packages.

Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier proposals.

Compare bids, identify scope gaps, and follow up on pricing questions.

Price design changes and help the team evaluate cost options.

Maintain estimating records, pricing history, and subcontractor contacts.

Work with project managers as projects move from estimating into construction.

Qualifications

Experience estimating commercial construction projects.

Ability to read drawings and specifications and perform quantity takeoffs.

Working knowledge of construction trades and subcontractor scopes.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple bid deadlines.

K–12 or CMAR experience is a plus.
