Electronics Assembler
Job Description
This role focuses on final assembly and wiring of electro-mechanical chassis and systems in a clean, climate-controlled production environment. You will interpret assembly instructions and blueprints, perform hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly, and contribute to a collaborative team dedicated to high-quality electronic products.
Responsibilities
Assemble and wire electro-mechanical chassis and systems according to assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, job travelers, facility procedures, and parts lists.
Study and understand assembly documentation, including schematics, blueprints, and written instructions, to ensure accurate and efficient assembly.
Position parts and subassemblies using templates or by reading and interpreting measurements to meet quality and design specifications.
Use hand and power tools to assemble components, make adjustments, and perform mechanical repairs as needed.
Report assembly, equipment, material, and quality issues to leadership to obtain guidance, resources, or direction for resolution.
Complete preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and tools according to established schedules and instructions.
Maintain a safe and clean work area by following PPE requirements, work rules, and facility safety regulations.
Document production activities and quality checks by accurately completing production and quality forms.
Rotate through different processes and jobs as required, supporting various stages of the assembly process and contributing to overall team flexibility.
Operate in accordance with established company policies and procedures while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform wire harness assembly, electrical assembly, and manual testing of electronic components and systems as needed.
Conduct basic wiring tasks, such as outlets and wire harnessing, and perform soldering for electronic and PCB assemblies when required.
Essential Skills
Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly instructions, blueprints, and related technical documents.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble components and perform basic repairs.
Proficiency using hand and power tools safely and effectively in an assembly environment.
Prior electrical and electronic wiring experience, including wire harnessing and related tasks.
Capability to follow detailed procedures, work instructions, and facility policies with high attention to detail.
Comfort working in a team-oriented environment and rotating between different processes or jobs as needed.
Ability to maintain accurate documentation of production and quality activities.
Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area in accordance with PPE and safety guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with PCB assembly and soldering.
Background in telecommunications-related work.
Manual testing experience in electronics manufacturing environments.
Wire harness assembly experience in production or manufacturing settings.
Strong, stable work history with long tenures at previous places of employment.
Familiarity with climate-controlled, clean manufacturing environments.
Ability to work extended shifts and occasional overtime when required.

Work Environment
The role is based in a very clean, climate-controlled production facility that emphasizes safety, organization, and teamwork. The standard schedule is first shift, typically 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with 5 to 10 hours of overtime available as needed. Most Fridays are off, offering extended weekends. You will work with electro-mechanical assemblies, wire harnesses, PCBs, and standard hand and power tools, following established procedures and documentation. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LEWIS CENTER, OH.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
