Excavator Operator / Railcar Unloader
We are seeking experienced and dependable Excavator Operators and Railcar Unloaders to join our team. This is a traveling position requiring overnight travel, significant schedule flexibility, and regular overtime. Candidates must be available to respond to changing project needs, locations, and work schedules.
Responsibilities
Safely operate excavators
Load and unload aggregate from railcars.
Travel to various job sites, including frequent overnight stays.
Work extended hours and overtime based on operational needs.
Remain flexible regarding schedules, assignments, and jobsite locations.
Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections.
Complete basic equipment maintenance and report mechanical or safety concerns.
Follow all company, railroad, and jobsite safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Work effectively with supervisors, railroad personnel, drivers, and other team members.
Complete required operational and safety documentation.
Qualifications
Previous excavators operating or railcar unloading experience is required.
Must be willing and able to travel overnight.
Must have significant scheduling flexibility.
Must be available to work substantial overtime, including extended shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Knowledge of equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
Strong safety awareness and attention to surroundings.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to perform physically demanding work as needed.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass all required background checks, drug screenings, and employment requirements.
