About Interlude Home
Interlude Home is a fashion-inspired luxury furniture brand. We design and produce custom upholstery in our own Virginia factory, COM specialists known for curved sectionals, custom beds, and statement seating. Our collections span bedroom, dining, living, and decor. We sell through interior designers, retail trade partners, dealers, and wholesale accounts, and our pieces reach end clients through the designers and trade professionals who specify them. Showrooms in New York, Miami, Stamford, and High Point. We are growing, and a strong sales team plays a critical role in how we get there.
Your Role
Southeast Florida is one of our highest-potential markets and this role was created to accelerate it. You will split your time between two equally important responsibilities. When you are in the showroom, you are supporting the showroom manager, assisting with client-facing activities, and making sure every designer or trade partner who comes through the door has a seamless, elevated experience. When you are in the field, you are on offense: prospecting new accounts, reactivating lapsed relationships, and expanding the pipeline across the territory.
You will work in close coordination with both the Miami showroom manager and the dedicated outside sales rep who owns the full territory relationship. Your job is to make both of them more effective while building your own presence and book in the market. Both sides of this role matter, and you will be measured on both.
What You Will Be Doing
Showroom Support
Support the showroom manager in daily client-facing operations, ensuring every designer, trade partner, and end client receives a hospitality-driven, brand-consistent experience
Assist with showroom appointments including preparation, product presentations, follow-up, and swatch coordination
Manage open inquiries, walk-ins, and leads so nothing falls through when the showroom manager is engaged with other clients
Keep product displays, sample books, and COM materials organized, current, and presentation-ready at all times
Log all showroom activity, client interactions, and follow-up touchpoints in HubSpot accurately and consistently
Outbound Prospecting and Territory Development
Identify and reach out to designers, design firms, architects, builders, and trade partners across Southeast Florida who are not yet in the Interlude Home network
Execute a structured weekly outreach plan across calls, emails, and in-person drop-ins to warm up cold contacts, reactivate lapsed accounts, and book showroom appointments
Conduct field days across the territory to deliver samples, introduce the line, and build face-to-face relationships with new and dormant accounts
Work closely with the outside sales rep to qualify early-stage prospects and ensure the pipeline reflects real opportunity
Guide clients through custom upholstery options, COM finishes, and configuration details to build confidence and close orders
Track all outbound activity, prospect status, and pipeline movement in HubSpot with strong discipline
Representing the Brand and the Team
Arrive at every client interaction fully informed about our upholstery program, import line, and COM process
Represent Interlude Home at local design trade events, showroom openings, and networking functions to build brand awareness and generate referrals
Work the floor at High Point Market each season alongside the wider Interlude Home team
Join the weekly sales team meeting and bring what you are seeing and hearing in the market back to leadership
What Success Looks Like
Showroom operations run smoothly when you are present, and no client interaction or follow-up is missed due to coverage gaps
You are producing a consistent volume of qualified outbound leads that convert to showroom appointments and new account openings
Lapsed and dormant accounts in the territory are being systematically reactivated through your outreach
The outside sales rep and showroom manager are both more productive because of the support and leads you are generating
Your HubSpot reflects a full picture of your showroom activity, outbound outreach, and pipeline without anyone having to ask
What We Are Looking For
2 or more years in luxury furniture, upholstery, home furnishings, the interior design trade, or a client-facing showroom or outside sales role
Genuine comfort with outbound prospecting including cold calls, drop-ins, and persistent follow-through
Strong interpersonal presence and the ability to connect quickly and credibly with designers and trade professionals
Organizational discipline to manage both showroom support responsibilities and an active outbound pipeline simultaneously
Deep familiarity with the interior design trade and how designers specify, sell, and guide their clients through a purchase
Daily proficiency with HubSpot CRM or a comparable platform as a working tool, not just a reporting one
Genuine appreciation for the product and the design trade
Who Thrives Here
Someone equally comfortable picking up the phone to cold prospect and stepping into a showroom to host a designer
A natural connector who earns credibility quickly and makes designers and trade partners feel like they are in good hands from the first conversation
Someone organized and self-directed enough to manage two distinct sets of daily responsibilities without handholding
Someone hungry to prove themselves in a market with real upside and who sees this role as a foundation for a longer career in luxury furniture sales
Someone who genuinely lights up talking about our pieces because that passion shows in every client interaction
