Lead Warehouse Material Coordinator

Mid-State Freight Logistics is seeking a reliable, hardworking Lead Warehouse Material Coordinator for our facility in Illinois City, IL.

This is a physical, hands-on warehouse role. There are no IT, software, or computer duties required. You will be responsible for overseeing the physical sorting, staging, and movement of heavy freight inside our central transit warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Forklift Operation: Safely operate manual and mechanical forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to unload freight trucks and move inventory.

• Manifest Tracking: Use physical paper manifests and clipboards to cross-reference, tick off, and verify incoming pallet tags and cargo shipments.

• Cargo Staging: Manually organize, lift, and stack bulky crates, boxes, and barrels onto heavy-duty industrial shelving units.

• Dock Safety: Maintain a clean and orderly loading dock floor, manually clearing debris and ensuring clear walking paths.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• 2+ years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial environment.

• Strong physical stamina, with the ability to stand for long shifts and routinely lift up to 50 lbs.

• Dependable work ethic and excellent attention to detail using paper record-keeping.
