The Finance Manager plays a critical leadership role in supporting the financial success of Park Hyatt St. Kitts by ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, effective budgeting, and compliance with company policies and local regulations.

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Finance Department, maintaining the integrity of financial data, and providing strategic financial guidance to hotel leadership. This position partners closely with operational leaders to drive profitability, optimize resources, and support informed business decisions that enhance both guest satisfaction and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the management and oversight of all hotel accounting and financial functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general cashiering, purchasing controls, payroll coordination, and income audit processes.

Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and variance reports.

Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Ensure compliance with Hyatt financial policies, internal controls, local laws, and applicable accounting standards.

Support annual budget preparation, long-range planning, and forecasting activities.

Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.

Review revenue and expense trends and collaborate with department leaders to achieve financial objectives.

Assist with audits conducted by internal auditors, external auditors, and regulatory agencies.

Monitor cash flow and banking activities while safeguarding hotel assets.

Provide financial analysis and reporting to the Director of Finance and Executive Committee as needed.

Train, mentor, and develop finance team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Ensure adherence to procurement policies and effective inventory controls.

Support special projects, system implementations, and business initiatives as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.

Previous hotel finance experience and familiarity with Hyatt systems is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and auditing principles.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
